So I want to start a running blog of my first work, tentatively call "The Mortgage." This is my first attempt at writing a book. So far, what I've got has turned out to be more autobiographical than anything. I've been working on the main character and the more I write him, the more of myself I see in him. my biggest problem is keeping a focus. I started to brainstorm ideas, but that didn't get me anywhere. I don't know how or what I'm going to do to make it work, but this is going to be a learning process that's for sure.
I'm debating putting in personal experiences, because I worry that if this does ever get published, it could be turned to those that I love and be seen as attacks on those that I don't fully care for, but don't want to piss off.
I've decided to just start writing and letting the story take it's on a life of it's own. I hope that this is going to work, because this is the way I'm going to go about it right now. :)
